Atolls – islands with emptiness inside

The cycle consists of five large paintings and several medium and small irregularly shaped paintings made using the acrylic technique on a board.

The pictures show emptiness, silence and quiet. They move while standing still, they want to go i inside the eye and mind. They draw the viewer into their vastness.

White paintings, just like meta-painting, deepen reflection on themselves by asking if they are paintings indeed.

But does painting always answer your questions?

White images appear immediately and fully in order to incapacitate the viewer, deprive him of the possibility of thinking, analysis, logical connection with things, detach him from the surface of the real everyday world. Painting draws the viewer into its vastness to show him his own immensity.

Atolls tell (and remain silent) about chaos around them that does not affect them. They are happy. They radiate emptiness and calm. If you want to run, run there. Atolls are favorable to people, although they have never seen them.
